1. Overview of Services
Alpine Storage provides self-storage rentals and related services, including:
Online unit booking and payments (via U-Haul Web Self Storage)
Display of pricing and unit availability
Online transactions for monthly storage rentals
A contact form for customer inquiries
A quote request form for U-Haul trailer/truck rentals
All storage rentals are month-to-month, even if customers choose to prepay future months.
2. Online Payments & Third-Party Systems
All online payments are processed securely through U-Haul Web Self Storage, a PCI-compliant payment system.
Alpine Storage does not store, process, or have access to full credit card numbers or CVV codes.
By using the online payment tools, you also agree to U-Haul’s terms, policies, and data-handling practices.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
Keep contact information updated
Keep payment methods current
Ensure stored contents comply with Alpine Storage’s rules
Notify management before moving out
Leave the unit clean and empty upon vacating
Failure to follow these terms may result in additional fees or account restrictions.
4. Prohibited Uses & Storage Restrictions
The rental space may be used only for the storage and removal of personal property.
The following items and activities are strictly prohibited:
• Residential use, living, sleeping, or camping in a unit
• Operating a business or conducting commercial activity
• Hazardous, toxic, or regulated materials
• Illegal goods or stolen property
• Explosives or ammunition
• Highly flammable or combustible materials
• Perishable food or organic matter
• Living creatures, organisms, or animal remains
• Any unlawful purpose
Customers agree not to leave waste, alter the unit, affix signs, or cause damage to the rental space and must keep the unit in good condition at all times.
Alpine Storage reserves the right to deny access, restrict use, or terminate rentals for violations of these rules or unsafe activity.
5. Locks, Unit Security & Risk of Loss
Customers may bring their own lock or purchase a lock from Alpine Storage.
Customers are solely responsible for securing their rental space at all times.
Storage of property does not create a bailment relationship. Alpine Storage does not take possession, custody, or control of any stored property.
Customers agree not to store property with a total value exceeding $15,000, as set forth in the rental agreement.
Customers are advised not to store irreplaceable, sentimental, or high-value items, including collectibles, heirlooms, jewelry, or works of art.
Alpine Storage is not an insurer of stored property and is not liable for loss or damage caused by theft, vandalism, fire, water, weather, dust, pests, rodents, insects, mold, mildew, or any other cause.
All items are stored entirely at the customer’s own risk. Customers are encouraged to obtain their own insurance coverage.
6. Payment Terms, Late Fees & Lien Process
Monthly Billing
Rent is billed on a monthly basis and must be paid in full by the due date shown on the customer’s account.
Late Payment Timeline
6th of the month:
If payment has not been received, gate access may be disabled and the unit may be overlocked without waiving Alpine Storage’s lien rights.
10th of the month:
A $20 late fee is added to the account.
60 days past due:
A lien processing fee is applied, and the account enters the lien and auction process in accordance with Idaho Code § 55-2301 et seq.
All required notices will be provided as required under Idaho law prior to any sale or disposal of stored property.
Additional Fees
• Lock-cut fee: $20 if Alpine Storage must cut a lock
• Cleaning fee: Charged if the unit is not emptied and cleaned upon move-out
No security deposit is required.
No administrative or move-in fees are charged.
Customers are responsible for all fees associated with delinquent accounts.
7. Refund Policy
Alpine Storage operates on a month-to-month rental basis.
Refunds Are Allowed Only in This Scenario:
If a customer has prepaid for future months but moves out early, Alpine Storage will refund the unused prepaid months.
Refunds Are Not Given For:
Partial months already in progress
Mid-month move-outs
Late fees, lock-cut fees, or lien fees
All refunds are issued back to the original payment method when possible.
8. Website Use & User Conduct
By using our website, you agree not to:
Attempt to bypass security or gain unauthorized access
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers)
Submit false information through forms
Interfere with the website’s functionality
Alpine Storage may restrict website access for misuse.
9. Intellectual Property
All website content — including the Alpine Storage logo, images, design, layout, and text — is the property of:
Alpine Storage LLC
No content may be copied, distributed, or reused without written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by Idaho law:
Alpine Storage is not liable for any damage, theft, loss, weather exposure, rodent activity, insect activity, mold, mildew, or any deterioration of stored items.
Alpine Storage is not responsible for outages, access restrictions, or technical issues affecting website payments or gate access.
Customers store all property at their own risk.
Nothing in these Terms limits Alpine Storage’s lien rights under Idaho law.
11. Access Hours & Management Availability
Unit Access: 24/7
On-Site Management: Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Closed Sundays and major holidays
Access may be restricted for safety, maintenance, or unpaid balances.
12. Termination of Service
Alpine Storage may terminate a rental or restrict access for:
Nonpayment
Illegal or unsafe activity
Violating storage rules
Providing false information
Failure to comply with these Terms
Customers must remove all items and leave the unit clean upon termination.
13. Governing Law & Changes to These Terms
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho.
Alpine Storage may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
